The utilisation of technology has provided to be instrumental in hurting social connections among individuals, especially in circumstances where physical proximity is not feasible owing to various constraints. Moreover, the advent of online communication has facilitated the establishment of fresh relationships among individuals having common interests and hobbies.

Conversely, the utilisation of technology has resulted in a decrease in oral communication proficiency. The extensive dependence on digital communication has been observed to decrease individuals' willingness to engage in face-to-face interactions, which consequently contributes to feelings of social disconnection and solitude. Several studies have demonstrated that a positive correlation exists between a higher frequency of social media usage and reduced levels of empathy and social skills among individuals.
