Today’s post shall constitute something rather divergent from my blog as I wish to proffer a critique regarding a recent cinematic release - Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. This shall not typify a scientific publication but rather unstructured ponderings regarding entertainment and enjoyment from watching the movie and visiting a new cinema hall.
I considered frequenting Helios Cinema in Kielce (a city in Poland) wherein I viewed a splendid motion picture regarding sorcery, mirth and adventure in a fanciful world renowned for tabletop games and video games within a novel auditorium designated “Dream”. I seldom attend cinema due to a dearth of time for such amusement (I cannot apportion sufficient time for all pursuits). I was somewhat shocked upon beholding the latest cinema hall with leather seating and electrically actuated positions to attain maximum comfort - it's a gratifying sensation to recline and perceive a film upon so immense a screen akin to a domiciliary couch.
Gliding in a seamless progression to the cinematic subject, from the initial minute of the film I felt something quite familiar... similar atmospherics, and ambience as a creation emanating from Peter Jackson - The Lord of the Rings albeit amalgamated with Marvel Studio’s Avengers. Humour dominated throughout the entire viewing and undoubtedly all could revel. I shall not divulge any revelations that may constitute spoilers though I wish to share my sentiments with further such productions.
In summation, ‘tis worth witnessing this motion picture due to the action, supreme humour and cohesive commencement and cessation of the narrative. Familiar locations from known games such as Baldur’s Gate, Neverwinter and Icewind Dale provided further immersion and delight during the viewing! I do highly recommend this film!
